# Referrals

> Partner codes: what a referred trader gets, and what a partner earns.

Turbo has one referral program, and it runs on partner codes. A partner shares a code you can type in, or a link that carries it. Signing up with either ties your account to that partner permanently.

## If you were referred

* **10% off Turbo's fees, for life.** Turbo's fee is 0.05% of trade value; with a partner code it is 0.045%. The exchange's own taker fee is unchanged. See [Fees](/fees).
* The discount applies to every trade automatically once the code is on your account. There is nothing to claim.
* Some partners assign part of their own commission as extra discount on their code. If yours does, the higher discount is the one you get.

## If you refer

* **30% of Turbo's fees on every trade your referrals make, for life.** No minimum volume to hit first, and no cap.
* Your share is credited the moment a referred trade happens, so your balance is never behind.
* Payouts are weekly, in the Turbo app, and can be claimed once your balance passes \$10.
* The 10% your traders receive is covered by Turbo — you still earn 30% of the full fee.
